Arrival at the Rosswald
The Rosswald is located on the sunny side of the Brigerberg above the town of Brig. The family area is accessible all year round by cable car.
Arrival by cable car (recommended)
The valley station of the gondola lift in Ried-Brig can be reached by car or by post car from Brig. The car parking spaces in Ried-Brig are free of charge. The gondola lift takes you comfortably and in a short time to the chalet zone of the Rosswald.
Arrival by car
Summer
In summer there is the possibility to drive up to the Rosswald, where the car can be parked in the paid parking spaces (CHF 8.-/24h). A narrow mountain road leads up to the Alpe Rosswald, where the possibilities for evasion are limited. The journey takes 30 minutes from Ried-Brig. As the Alpe Rosswald is car-free, it is not possible to drive up to the chalet by car. If possible, we recommend that you do not travel by car. The car can be left free of charge in Ried-Brig in the car park at the valley station.
Winter
In winter, the Rosswald can only be reached by cable car. The parking facilities in Ried-Brig are chargeable in winter. The parking spaces are outside.
Parking Rosswald valley station
Parking spaces are available at the valley station of the Rosswald cable cars. In summer, the car park can be used free of charge. In winter, the car park is chargeable. You can find the rates here.
You can pay the parking fees at the machine at the valley station, via TWINT, Easypark or Parkingpay.
